The Day Care Unit for Children is an intermediate link between the outpatient and inpatient levels of the psychiatric service and is designed to provide medical, diagnostic and rehabilitation assistance to children and adolescents with mental and behavioral disorders and crisis conditions that do not require round-the-clock monitoring and treatment.

The tasks of the DODP are:

  • providing outpatient specialized medical care to children and adolescents with mental disorders and crisis conditions that do not require mandatory hospitalization and round-the-clock monitoring;
  • introduction of new medical technologies and methods of prevention, diagnosis and treatment based on modern achievements of medical science and best practices;
  • prevention of primary access to disability and reduction of its severity;
  • social and legal protection of children and adolescents suffering from mental disorders from discrimination in society and infringement of their rights and legitimate interests;
  • creating a favorable environment for development, improving adaptation and socialization of children with special mental and physical development;
  • social and psychological support for the family;
  • prevention of suicidal, deviant, and dissocial behavior in children and adolescents;
  • prevention of child abuse and domestic violence;
  • providing assistance to children who are in particularly difficult life circumstances (neglect, criminal environment, victims of terrorist acts, family violence, experiencing the loss of family members).

Preventive medical examinations of children – an appointment by phone +375-162-32-29-66 (in the direction of the CKROiR, for obtaining a medical certificate of absence of registration, a conclusion for a speech therapist, etc.) is made by the children’s psychiatrist of the polyclinic in accordance with by schedule address: office 14, Kizhevatova str., 76/1, Brest. Child’s presence is required.
